DALI-2 USB toimii liitäntänä DALI Cockpit -tietokoneohjelmiston ja DALI-väylään liitettyjen laitteiden välillä. Sen avulla voidaan osoitteistaa ja konfiguroida DALI-järjestelmiä. Laite tukee standardin mukaista DALI-protokollaa, DALI-2-protokollaa sekä useita laajennettuja DALI-protokollia. Kompakti laite sisältää integroidun 30 mA:n DALI-väylävirtalähteen, joka voidaan tarvittaessa kytkeä käyttöön.
